In recognition of the role she played as Muriel Pitchett from 1988's Drama The Unintentional Tourist, she received one Academy Award. She appeared as a main role in Beetlejuice which was an American horror film that was released in 1988. The film was written and starred in by Tim Burton. Davis has received numerous honors for her work on the screen as well as on TV. Her work was noted for her portrayal of authentic strong women and her activism for women working in the industry. She became fascinated with music from a very young age. As a teenager she was able to play the piano, flute and the organ. She had the opportunity to serve as an organist at her Congregationalist Church of Wareham. Davis went to Wareham High School and was an exchange student from Sandviken Sweden becoming fluent in Swedish. New England College was her initial stop, before Boston University awarded Davis a diploma in drama in 1979. Davis began her modeling career as an actress for the window of Ann Taylor before signing with New York's Zoli modeling agency. Her early years were spent as a child being raised by her parents in Concord California. As a young girl, she had a dream of becoming professional soccer player however in 2002 she suffered an ankle injury during her final year in high school. The injury healed and she continued to play as a striker Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill California which is where she earned an associate's degree in art. The college awarded her Junior College All-American and transferred to Arizona State University, where she put off playing soccer due to doubts about herself. Her next destination was California State University Fullerton. When she graduated with a bachelors degree diploma in business administration, and minor in human resources and a minor in human resources, she relocated to Los Angeles. Her studies were completed in Los Angeles where she began a professional career in modelling, promotion work and acting. When she was searching for work, she found a casting notice for W.W.E. In the end, after impressing talent scouts she was granted a 4-week trial period. After that, she relocated to Orlando Florida, where the Performance Center was located. Then, in May of 2013, she joined the Total Divas W.W.E reality T.V. show. Then she dyed her red hair and donned the name Eva Marie. After a few tumultuous years with W.W.E. She ended her contract with W.W.E. anymore.
